Church of the Birth of Virgin Mary, Kalentzi

The church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary was built in 1879, replacing an older church, probably from the 17th century, which until the beginning of the 19th century seems to have been a Katholikon of a monastery. Parts of the iconostasis of the old church have been incorporated into the current temple. It is a three-aisled barrel-vaulted basilica with a matroneum in the west side that also maintains frescoes of 1905. It is the parish church of Kalentzi.
